Building a Dream

After a life time of involvement in many types of alternative livestock, and 15 years of enjoying Koi as a hobby an opportunity presented itself to expand the scope of our love of Koi into a full fledged breeding operation. With the support of our dear friends Marco and Petra Behnke, and our family, we opened Lake Ridge Farm Koi Nursery & Water Gardens on August 19, 2006.

We are continuing with a breeding program and brood stock carefully selected by a family that we have trusted for years as a source of knowledge, pond supplies and of course gorgeous Koi.

We have always strived to produce the best possible individuals no matter the species of livestock we are dealing with. We are ethical and responsible in our dealings and husbandry practices and stand behind our livestock and produce.

Our ultimate goal is to produce healthy Koi that will offer a range of type and quality to meet the needs and standards of all levels of Koi enthusiasts.

We are also very pleased and proud to offer tours of our facility and the opportunity to veiw and interact with our other unique livestock as well. Our farm is home to a variety of miniature livestock, tiny Miniature horses, donkeys, Zebu and Dexter cattle, Shetland sheep and Pygmy goats as well as diminutive chickens and dwarf rabbits.
